So tell me why there are Christians that believe יהוה (YAH’s) Holy Days (His Appointed Times) are not important?
These are not ‘Jewish holidays’, they are GOD’s/YHVH/YAH’s Feasts for all who obey Him. (Leviticus 23) Again the heading does not say Jewish… it says FEASTS OF THE LORD… no?
Yahuah’s Appointed Times: His Gospel Laid Out for Us
Yahuah’s appointed times are not just ancient rituals, they are His set appointments with His people, those who follow His ways. They tell the story of redemption through Yahusha/Jesus from beginning to end, inviting us into righteous living and covenant relationship.
Early believers in The Way continued observing them as they followed Yahusha/Jesus, who fulfilled them in perfect timing.
This is crucial to understand. It’s not Judaism nor is it Christianity; it’s simply following Scripture.

What Are the Key Ways They Reveal the Gospel?
• Weekly Sabbath: The very first appointed time (Leviticus 23:3). A day of complete rest, remembrance of Creation and our Exodus, and holy convocation. It reminds us that Yahuah is our Creator, Provider, and the One who sanctifies us. Yahusha is Lord of the Sabbath, modeling righteous rest in Him.
• Passover (Pesach): Deliverance from bondage and the Lamb’s blood covering. Yahusha is our Passover Lamb, sacrificed for us.
• Unleavened Bread: Removing sin/leaven and walking in sincerity. Yahusha was buried, and we are called to put away sin.
• First Fruits: The first sheaf waved, Yahusha/Jesus rose as the first fruits of the resurrection.
• Shavuot (Pentecost): Giving of the Torah at Sinai and the outpouring of the Ruach. The renewed covenant written on hearts.
• Yom Teruah (Trumpets): The call to awaken, gather, and prepare us pointing to Yahusha’s/Jesus’ return with the trumpet sound.
• Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement): Affliction of soul, atonement, final cleansing, and judgment.
• Sukkot (Tabernacles): Dwelling in booths, rejoicing in provision, and looking forward to dwelling with Yahuah forever in the Kingdom.
These moedim form a complete picture of salvation: what Yahusha/Jesus has done, what He is doing, and what is yet to come.
They keep us anchored in Yahuah’s calendar and rhythm of return to Him.
In Comparison to the Common Man-Made Holidays
Many sincere believers today celebrate holidays like Christmas and Easter, which were developed centuries later and incorporate elements not found in Scripture. These can carry warm traditions and focus on Yahusha’s/ Jesus’ birth and resurrection, but they do not follow the specific appointed times YAH gave.
Who makes things holy? It certainly isn’t the Pope, a minister, or a preacher. Don’t you agree?
History shows early shifts (including decisions at councils like Nicea) moved away from the biblical calendar and Feasts.
The Way stays with Yahuah’s/Jesus’ instructions… it’s simple, scriptural, and full of meaning; rather than man-made later additions.
This brings peace in aligning our time with His. It is also how He desires to be worshiped, remembered and revered.
Isn’t it time to go back to the basics?
